Mark Robins brought in a shed load of LOAN SIGNINGS When Mark Robins was sacked, Pat Cryne said at the time that Barnsley was a club that brought players in and developed them which wasn't happening under the management of Mark Robins. We then went into the KeeeFlicka period of management where players usually from the lower leagues were brought in so they could be developed into Championship players. Today, Wiseman, who could be considered one of the better of the lower league signings was given away. And then a new loan signing was appointed. So are we back to the Mark Robins type of management? And if so, what other players need to be given away? In my opinion we have about 10 more players that could go. This will create room for others to be brought in. Goalkeepers Steele..........stay but has to improve Dibble......... jury still out. If he doesn't show soon then he must go Defenders Hassell............done well since he came back but is at an age where the Championship is going to be increasingly difficult Ramage.........on loan - stay for the season Kennedy.............got to go Nyatanga .............shown nowt - got to go Cranie..........stay Wiseman.............gone McNulty.............got to go Mvoto..............still worth a wait and see Midfielders O'Brien..........stay but has to improve Dawson..........stay but has to improve Perkins........... stay but has to improve Jennings.............shown nowt - got to go Digby............stay Cywka...........stay Mellis.............stay Etuhu...........lost form so has to go McCourt.........stay but for how long Noble-Lazarus.......jury still out. If he doesn't show soon then he must go Forwards Scotland..........lost form so has to go O'Grady.........stay Dagnall..........go Pedersen.......go Rose......... jury still out. If he doesn't show soon then he must go
That's it then, you've spoken. I stopped reading at Nyatanga, who has played ONCE this season (very well) and has to go. Deluded.
...........exactly...........ONCE...........either injured or on the bench the rest of the time. Obviously not fancied by either Flicka or Danny
TBH Danny played Lewin first game (that's after seeing all the players for a couple of days), but due to lack of fitness got injured. He is available Saturday and I'll bet he'll be playing & TK won't. If that isn't making a statement then I don't know what is
To be honest I stopped reading when he said Keeflicka ! I nearlt stopped when he stated Robins was sacked, but carried on for another couple of sentences.
Bizarre that you'd get rid of the likes of Jennings & Nyatanga who've not had the chance to prove themselves yet keep Dawson & M'Voto who've been consistently poor all season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To be honest I stopped reading when I read 'Mark Robins'..........this of course shows how so much more sensitive I am than all of the previous posters. In fact after reading 'Mark Robins' I just didn't stop at reading the post I actually sat in a darkened room smoking a cigar to collect myself together.
There's lots of sentimental attachment to O'Grady on here (and he was massive for us in 'The Great Escape') but for me, this season he's just too slow. It's not so much hold up play as play hold up - by which time the opposing defence have usually got back. Sure, he's top scorer, but that's saying little this season. We seem to have no-one else capable of playing with him, and his tally should be greater considering some of the chances he's spurned. For me we need a more mobile strikeforce with a bit of pace and some sort of eye for goal. So sorry Chris - it's 'Got to go'. Soz.
To be honest I stopped reading Woodbines post at 'sentimental'............. I've always been sensitive and nostalgic about 'sentimental'
Can't agree with this. Even after coming back from injury And not being as in form as at the start of the season O Grady still does an awesome job of holding up the ball And getting others into play. Without him the ball just comes straight back at us Because our midfield are inept at retaining possession. We'd be fecked if we lost him.
Some bloke called Ian rush said the more shots you have the more you score. O'grady is lucky to get one or two a game. If he converted every shot he took he would be playing at barca etc.
