Has the carparking price increase stopped you parking at Oakwell?

Increased to £4 to park this season but with it only being £2 across the road at the riding for the disabled and just down the road at the brewery has anyone stopped using the club carpark?

I park in the Court House car park as I come in from that side of town. The Walk up to ground does me good and like you say it's free.

I paid 55 quid for car park season ticket. Official bfc car park is ideal for me as not far to walk with two kids.

Never been one for parking miles away to save a few quid

Free parking everywhere. The club car park is for the well off and lazy people.

I park under Premier Inn for £3.50 all day. Never in a rush to get back either with the traffic chaos

Force of habit, mate. Closer to the motorway and the walk does me no harm :)

Have your kids got no legs?!

(Ps: I'm really sorry if your kids do have no legs or a valid reason they can't walk as I just assumed you were using them as poor excuse not to walk!)

[FONT=Tahoma, Calibri, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]Yes my kids do have legs, but why trudge them through Barnsley for the sake of 3 quid. I don't live in Barnsley, other than Oakwell I don't know the Barnsley area so Official car park is Ideal

Never heard owt as stupid. Do I now need an excuse for parking in the official BFC car park. Am I not a proper fan for parking there.

I have paid 55 quid which works out about 3 quid a match and I'm helping the club. Not exactly breaking the bank.

We had the pass this year and last, come from Hull so drive off M62/A1 and up Ponty road to the car park. I don't mind a walk but my mam is in her 60s and doesn't like a long walk.

We normally get a good spot and avoid getting blocked in - we normally get to the exit as the whistle is about to go, but the first 2 games have been that tense that we didn't move and still got away well....maybe the low crowds are helping that. If you don't get out the ground within 5 mins though you wait a good 30 mins to get away.

I either walk or park for free near the Outpost but if I did pay to park the increase at Oakwell wouldn't put me off. I think I'd rather pay to park at the ground and help the club than save a quid and line the pockets of somebody I had no connection with whatsoever.

Not really I never park there anyway as its such a pain to get out of if you dont mind a 15 minute walk you can park for free and get home much faster - or you can reduce the walk for a couple of quid and support a good cause at the riding for disabled, Though someone who often gives me a lift parks in the WMC on Donny road again a 10 minute walk and fast getaway £1.50 to park there
