If I remember rightly at the press conference when LJ was appointed, they just shrugged it off when asked about it and didn't really give a proper answer. Makes you wonder what's going on when it comes to transfers.
A head couch to me is someone who runs the training pitch FOR the manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its an interchangeable label. Often used by continental teams where the "head coach" has more of an influence on the training pitch. From memory they wanted someone who had more emphasis on coaching and bringing players on. But its just a job title. Its effectively the same as manager. Just a more fashionable title
A head coach coaches the players but doesn't have the final say on player recruitment like a football manager would.
A head coach to me is someone who has little or no say in recruitment. Who is given the players and it his their job to coach them and win games with them. Started in Italy I belive were teams would use 'head coaches' now a few English teams use this way. Leeds, us, Watford just a few off top of my head.
