I know that their will always be the silly money tranfers (Ronaldo, Robiniho, Kaka etc)
But the general transfer market appears to be stalling, compared to previous years prices dont appear to be as high. Point in case John Arne Riise £3.96m and Steve Sidwell £5.5m. In previous years this type of player would have gone for a lot more.....

Im hoping that this might bring players into our price bracket that just simply weren't within our reach in the past!!!!! (Y) (Y)

You are being optimistic IMHO!. Why should potentail falls in the transfer market happen at only the top end of the scale?

The credit crunch is hitting Joe Public hardest and to me, has had no impact -as yet - on the totally different type of economy that is the football transfer market. That said, if Joe Public suddenly cannot afford to buy the footy merchandise and attend as many maches due to the credit crunch, then that may then have an effect. Time will tell.
