Sounds like it was a dodgy penalty decision

    Two awful penalty decisions Cazi

Their goal was scored 6 minutes into the 4 injury time minutes allocated.

    Understatement of the season Cazi

he was looking for something controversial to do from the first minute. You just knew we wouldn't finish with 11 men altjough Foster actaully deserved his 2nd booking. The free-kick routine for their 2nd goal was excellent but I'm not so sure it was a free-kick in the first place. Parkin never even attempted to jump for the ball and Sousa just jumped early to beat him to the header. Penalty was absoultely unbvelievable. Not one Stoke player appealed. He'd decided before the free-kick was taken that he was going to give it just to get his name in the headlines. If that was a penalty there are over 30 penalty incidents avery game worthy of a spot-kick. Should never ever refree again that bloke.

    YES!

And not just the penalty decisions - its impossible to exaggerate the effect of playing with a clown like this in charge. Blatant bias towards Stoke, I thought their first penalty was an awful decision but at least I can guess why he gave it - anyone any idea what the second was for - no stoke players appealed and the stoke guests sitting in front of me had no idea what it was for either. Oh and Leeds tyke is wrong - it was 7 SEVEN! minutes into 4 minutes of injury time

Wonder if the club will lodge a complaint?

Apparently, Davey headed down the tunnel before the game had ended.

Think their 2nd penalty was for handball - although I didn't see it.

Their first was a foul - a stupid decision from Souza.

Their 2nd goal, a well worked free kick - although it shouldn't have been a free kick in my opinion.

As to the injury time debate - there was 1 minute of injury time left when he awarded the free kick, it took ages before that kick was taken but the penalty stemmed from that, and then ages before the penalty itself was taken....so I've no complaints over the time keeping because there was still time to be played.

I'm more annoyed at Howard not clearing the ball upfield when he had the chance, instead he plays it to their player who won the free kick.

    Thing is Dave - it's a MINIMUM of 4 minutes added-on time...

... that was indicated. The ultimate arbiter in all this is the referee and if he decides there's another
3 minutes to play on top of that, then it's his decision and we have to accept that. To be fair, there
was some time-wasting (by the Reds) to be included plus the time incurred with the Foster sending off.
But the whole build up leading up to their last equaliser was down to Howard trying to be 'clever' by
    the corner flag.

Yes, Kettle was practically as bad as Mr Hill was at Brizzle on Saturday (although in my opinion the
latter was worse), but we can all referee from the stands - being on the pitch is a lot different.

From my perspective the more worrying aspect was a general footballing failure - players conning
the officials and inciting the crowd. There are FA rules that dictate if a player celebrates scoring a
goal by running into the crowd or taking off their shirt, then they get booked for 'inciting' - yet
players can (judged by this afternoon) incite the crowd from the pitch and get away with it.
Something is wrong there, in my view, and it's not entirely down to an officiating aspect.

Stoke were as physical as they were at the Britannia earlier this season, and on the balance of play
this afternoon a draw was probably the right result. Our penalty was dubious to say the least, as
was their first one - which Fuller played for. Again, as long as players get away with such actions
then it will always happen in a game. I'm not at all sure why their equalising penalty was awarded,
and the sending off of Foster was equally as inexplicable.

Having said that - we seem to forget that our winning goal against Watford the other week was
an equally as dubious penalty. None of us were complaining then, and besides - these things tend
to balance themselves out over a season. The Acctim stats show that the club that has had their
woodwork hit the most so far this season is BFC, which shows we do have some fortune - although
I have to say that quite why we have had so many yellow cards shown against us is beyond me as
we are hardly a dirty physical team.

Kayode Odejayi was clean through on goal ...

... when Mr Kettle blew the final whistle. Did anyone else notice that?

Only cos he'd fouled their defender. He'd have missed anyway....

Their 2nd pen was a pen

Oddjob pulled the guy over by his shirt, not just a little tug either you could see the guys shoulder through the neck.

Still woeful referreeing though. And their players were disgusting.
