There's a cup match and South Yorkshire derby both happening this Saturday. There's no chance South Yorkshire Police will allow it.
Still would be the possibility of fans from four South Yorkshire clubs all being in the same place (Sheffield station for example) and Hull aren't exactly darlings either.
I know for FA cup replays the police need 10 days notice Don't know if it's the same for league games
i think theres more to it than both clubs agreeing to play the game saturday and to perfectly honest I wouldnt want to be in sheffield station at 6pm.
How do you know what SYP would allow ??? Same as the Palace game would "definately not be called off" You wanna stop with all the wild statements mate, on stuff you clearly know nothing about... just make yourself look very silly...
Palace have Plymouth away on the Tuesday night.. Then Washday away on the Saturday after our 'free weekend'. Can't imagine our club would accept three away trips on the bounce like that, so you can't expect them to.
There's every chance We will have that kind of fixture pile up towards the end of the season.... and as for Palace, or any team, I'd have thought they'd prefer a Saturday trip to Oakwell, than a Tuesday nighter. Anyway, what do I know? Except it's another flippin football free weekend. :'(
That's not such a bad thing with the way we are playing at the moment Don't have to watch Soccer Saturday through gaps in my fingers!
What, like it would have been this weekend just gone? Sheff United v Sheff Wed, then Barnsley v Palace?
Why go out? You can stop in and mess around on Farcebook. Much more fun than football (or going "rarnd 'tarn" on a Setdi neet) (pint)
RE: Why stop in & mess around on Farcebook When you can go out with my friends & family instead? Whilst I stay home contemplating a night of Pizza & pottery. :'( Still at least, after the multi-text account of events, I can look forward to the Farcebook blow by blow account. Will be like I was there all along. Anyway for someone who hates Farcebook, you're doing a good impression of "participating". (chinny)
so what we sayin if we had say birmingham on saturday police woudnt allow that game wots dif between them and palace
RE: What, like it would have been this weekend just gone? Exactly. There are many times all teams are playing in the same locality. Just very frustrating to have weekends free and then end up playing Tuesday after Tuesday.
I agree Just very unfortunate. But a lot of teams are going to be in the same boat due to FA Cup and weather.
