http://www.wearebarnsley.com/news/article/4349/hassell-felt-mistreated-in-flicker-era BOBBY Hassell had said he felt 'mistreated' at times under David Flitcroft's reign at Barnsley. The defender, who is in his tenth season at Oakwell, has not been a regular in the starting 11 this term and admits his relationship with Flicker was strictly a working one. "I've been out and about in the town and fans have asked me about my relationship with David," the 33-year-old said. "The honest truth is that we weren't close friends. I felt mistreated at times but I'm not one to hold grudges and I certainly wasn't happy to see him go. "He left on good terms with me. "It's time for us to unite as a club - the hierarchy, the staff, the academy, the players and the fans. A house divided cannot stand."

Probably because he was asked a question about it. But you're right, he should have decked the reporter for having the cheek to ask a player about his role within the squad.
I am just guessing here but is the answer BECAUSE HE WAS ASKED ?? Or am I way off the mark and its just to wind YOU UP ?
He also mentioned it in the Barnsley chron this he does. Also he can't say because they didn't get along thats why he didn't get picked because a lot of sports people don't get along but they still play.
It's not about him not getting selected. He was mistreated. But well done Bobby on not going any further, explaining how he was mistreated, even though Flitcroft has gone. Be the bigger man.
Just prefer Whitey for anything that gone off between the players, staff or manager to stay in the club.
I think Bobby was in a similar situation to me , but he got go to Oakwell sometimes , just not on Saturdays or Tuesday evenings
If you were mistreated at work... in fact, scratch that. If I was mistreated at work, I'd probably tell r lass about it, moan to my mates, my family etc. So it goes without saying that footballers will do similarly.
You've answered yourself that you don't know so it's obvious he hasn't said anything.........like you want
