<div class="ds-headline" id="ds-headline">Bobby in for final push</div><div class="ds-firstpara" id="ds-firstpara">BARNSLEY'S Bobby Hassell has been handed a crucial role in the club's promotion push. </div><div class="va-bodytext">Saturday's draw at Blackpool ruled Andy Ritchie's team out of a top-two finish and a last-minute red card for skipper Paul Reid means he is banned from the final two matches of the season. </div><div class="va-bodytext"> Hassell, who had a six-week lay-off with a chest injury, is set to takeover from Reid at centre-back as Barnsley bid for a play-off place. Right-back Neil Austin limped out of the 1-1 draw at Blackpool with a hamstring injury. He is expected to miss the last home game of the season on Saturday against Bradford. </div><div class="va-bodytext"> Dale Tonge, who has recovered from minor knee surgery, is expected to take over from Austin. Said Ritchie: "We're going to miss Paul Reid for the last two games, but we've got Bobby Hassell, and we know how well he can play at centre-half. "We've got Dale Tonge who is back fit, he's had two or three games now so he should be up to speed." Matt Carbon is still being treated for a groin problem. "Matt Carbon is going to have an extra jab and hopefully he'll be able to resume training on Wednesday," Ritchie added. </div><div class="va-bodytext"> Saturday's draw eased Blackpool's relegation fears. Said Ritchie: "I think you can tell why Blackpool have got the results of late that they have. "They work really hard, they back each other up and they never stopped running all afternoon. "They've really worked hard and deserved a point . I thought we deserved a point. "I thought if either side lost it in the last 10 or 15 minutes it would have been an injustice." </div><div class="va-bodytext"> Barnsley's last game of the season is at Walsall, who were relegated on Saturday. Walsall boss Kevan Broadhurst faces an anxious wait to see if he keeps the job after the team were relegated by the 3-1 defeat to Huddersfield.</div><div class="va-bodytext"> He has been unable to halt the slide since taking over from the sacked Paul Merson in February. </div><div class="va-date" id="va-date">24 April 2006</div>
