Not taking sides on who should or shouldn't play in midfield but Hassell has played more career games in midfield than Togwell. Most of Toggers games at Port Vale were as a defender.

Ok but Hassell's games in midfield were for Mansfield in L2. I think he has had some decent games in the middle (he was awesome against Chelsea) but the last two home games he has looked absolutely knackered. Everybody can see that except the one person that matters.
If he persists with Bobby in midfield against Charlton it will be a disgrace. Togwell has never let anybody down, in fact results with him in the side this season have been favourable. What's the point in having a squad if you're not going to use it?

I'm not saying they are long term. Just thinking of this Saturday that's all.

Davey said at the beginning of the season that we needed a bigger squad to compete for places and yet he persists on picking the same 11 more often than not without rotating non performing players.

Togwell deserves to play more games and perhaps the midfield wouldn't look as jaded?

Fair point Togwell should have more games can't see why Davey puts him on the bench, probably because theres no one else.

Hassell is fine in the midfield role where he is essentially a 5th defender i.e. Chelsea.</p>

However the games where we have had a lot of ball in midfield , he is essentially a passenger and its like playing with 10 men, as he doesnt look happy to have the ball.
