Think we are the only ones that don't allow for a lap of honour. Bradford's was great last week because of the atmosphere
The odd kid you can legislate for cos obviously they know no better, but when the adults are doing it and doing it with their kids what kind of message does that say?
We put the sprinklers on every other time of the season so they could put them on. The only time the pitch needs watering
Of course they know better. If they aren't old enough to know that somebody saying over a PA system 'do not go on the pitch' means not to go on the pitch then they aren't old enough to be unsupervised at a football match.
Just embarrassing. Highest number of arrests in the league & a set of fans that don't have the restraint to stand at the other side of the boards to clap the players. Could barely make the players out as they walked past due to all the fans around them. And I'd put every penny I've got on Cranie & Ramage both leaving for good. Both having photos with there families on the pitch post game
Doesn't help when the stewarding is yet again so inept that they crouch at one end of the pitch whilst watching idiots at the other end waiting to run on. Also doesn't help when Ben mansford undermines the PA announcer by saying he doesn't mind it. But it also doesn't help with the drunken fans at away games when BM is so quick to meet fans in pubs all the times either
Its easily solved, the stewards line up in front of the Ponty instead of the half way line. The few kids in the East and West Stand wont dare run on if the Ponty aren't invading. Problem solved and its not fukin rocket science is it.
It's happened for over 40 years. And besides which I don't consider finishing half way down the third division warrants a lap of honour
Lap of honour or walk of shame, it doesn't matter really because we don't get a chance to see the players because of some fans spoiling it for everybody else.

Its not so much a lap of honour as a chance for the players to thank the fans for their support over the season, esp the ones who are leaving.....I was at Morecambe on Sat, 2,400 Southend fans there to see their team achieve automatic promotion....only Morecambe WON 3-1.......Neither set of fans came onto the pitch and both teams got the chance to thank their supporters, same at Bradford last week, no pitch invasion........I can see it if we have won promotion or got into the play offs on the last day of the season to some extent but other than that.............no............its just Naff and spoils it for the majority....
The end of season pitch invasions are really immaterial to me as I've usually gone by then but while ever nothing is done pitch invasions during match eg goal celebrations etc are inevitable IMO. The game against Chelski spring to mind and IMO is a direct inaction at end of season invasions.
