South Pier is evident, central and the North pier disappeared? Have they been destroyed or has the photo clipped them off? [img=http://img308.imageshack.us/img308/7564/black4bn.jpg]
RE: Thats the north pier!!!! No, there's only a chunk of the north, none of the central, and the south pier is in full. Strange? They are still there at Blackpool are they? [img=http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/9701/gg1aw.jpg]
I agree with roundsman Only the south pier is shown in full. The north pier (little stumpy fat thing at the very top of the pic) is nowhere near the length is should be. It was over 1,400foot when it was first built yet that picture shows a pier of no more than 200 or 300 foot. The central pier IS on the picture. It is the kind of boat shaped object halfway between the tower and the bump where the promonade curves out over the beach. Only the south pier is it's full length complete with rides.
it appears that the images have cropped the piers if you look on google earth at blackpool tower you can see the south side of it because of the angle it is taken up. Pan up just past the north pier and you'll notice that straight through the pier the image changes to one where you can now see the north side of everything. The change happens directly above the north pier but it's too much of a change to be just perspective.
RE: it appears that the images have cropped the piers I reckon it's cropped yes...anyone been to Blackpool recently...are they still there?
