    Surely Luke Steele will go straight back into the starting XI?

    Gillett set for Rovers debut

    Doncaster's new loan signing Simon Gillett is expected to go straight into the starting line-up for the derby clash with Barnsley.

    Gillett, 23, signed from Southampton earlier this week for an initial two-month period with a view to making the move permanent and the midfielder will give injury-hit Rovers a big lift.

    Manager Sean O'Driscoll will be without nine first-team players through injury or suspension and is looking to draft in more players on loan.

    Skipper Brian Stock (knee), Adam Lockwood (foot), Byron Webster (elbow), Mark Wilson (calf), James Coppinger (ankle and calf), Sean McDaid and Steve Brooker (both knee) are all curently sidelined, while John Oster and Quinton Fortune will sit out the last of their respective three-game bans.

    Doncaster have drawn their last four league matches and are chasing their first win in the Championship since the 2-0 success over Cardiff on August 28.

    Barnsley manager Mark Robins is expecting to pick his side from virtually a full-strength squad.

    Bobby Hassell is the only player who will not be available. The versatile defender has been sidelined for over three weeks with an Achilles problem and although he has returned to full training, Saturday's game has arrived too quickly.

    Robins is expecting Iceland midfielder Emil Hallfredsson, who has been nursing a knee injury in recent weeks, to return unscathed from international duty.

    On-loan Stoke defenders Carl Dickinson and Ryan Shotton and Southampton goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski are expected to retain their places, with Jon Macken and Iain Hume forming a two-man attack as Barnsley chase a third successive league win.

    Mark robins has said that he was only with the group a week. i think the keeper Bartosz Bialkowski is wrong that that should be nathen doyle. Nathen doyle could but for me is not expected to retain is place.

    I read somewhere last week we'd brought him back

    but with Steele and Preece both fit, i think there is no need for him

    Robins confirmed in his press conference he was only with us for a week. Steele and Preece are now fit.
