    Been on holiday in the Highlands, but I've picked up that Steele has signed a new contract and is expected to be followed this week by Macken. Whilst up there, I read in the local press that Charlie Adam of Rangers was expected to sign for us, after his successful loan spell at Blackpool last season. Have we been seriously linked with anyone (ie. NOT anything from Football Rumours), or is everything still quiet on the transfer front?

    We're going to Flamborough at the end of July, mate.

    We went up to the Highlands to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary (we'd stayed in Drumnadrochit for our honeymoon). The cottage we rented was halfway up a mountain (about seven miles from Lewiston) overlooking Loch Ness with absolutely stunning views and we were lucky enough to get scorching, hot weather. It was the best holiday I've ever had.
    Beckford?? Blimey, I'd be surprised if that came off!

    Marvelous place, long drive, midges like chinooks (well in glen affric in any case) hope you had a good time.

    Cant see the beckford rumour having any substance, probably just masterbates and beckfords agent trying to heat up the bidding.

    Some Sam Vokes rumours abart too.

    The Beckford rumour is a bit of a surprise, but the Vokes one (on a season long loan) might be realistic. I think you're right with regards to Bates.
