    i don't think it is nonsense; companies have out sourced call centres to to foreign countries to save on direct labour costs. the result of this is that there is a language barrier which is not surprising. hence, people become irritated - this isn't an ideal situation when many people contact call centres in an irritated state to begin with. it's cost effective but the companies might lose out in the long run as the perceived quality of their product will diminish. its commendable that you promote and protect the company that you work for but would they do the same for you?

    Unfortunately your response, though sticking up for your job and colleagues was seen to be well out of order. If you took apart what Cazi said, there was nothing in there that could sensibly be deemed as racist.</p>

    That weakened your credibility from the start. Haven't seen all the posts and responses, but perhaps an acknowledgement to Caz that you were a bit over the top might restore some respect [​IMG]</p>

    Not having a go fella, but why are you defending a company that makes employees deduct toilet time from their lunch breaks?

    call centres take the **** out of their employees in my experience (and I worked in a few as a student). their pretty inhumane, a modern day sweat shop i would say.
    constantly monitored, treated like a child etc etc

    you are allocated 10 mins toilet time a day. anything over that comes out of your break

    Lee confirmed this yesterday, plus one of my mates that used to work on national rail enquiries also confirmed this - I don't think that it is a rumour.
