How the team structure will work without a reserve team ?

How to first team players not in the starting lineup maintain match sharpness?
How do injured players have chance to return to full match fitness?
How do they even think that they can tempt any decent calibre of player to the club knowing that if they are not guaranteed first team starts every week (regardless of performance) they cannot get a match?
How do we try new ideas / playing styles off the training pitch without risking it in an important league match?
Are they expecting that cover for injuries in the first team will come directly from the under 18's?
Will season ticket prices be reduced to reflect the loss of part of the product. Ok only a couple of quid per game but it is something else removed from the package?

Important questions for me that I think seriously affect how the club will perform its duties next season.

Have I missed something or has this decision just been implemented without serious thought?

Talking to a Norwich fan at work, and apparently Glen Rhoder did the same thing as Davey.

First thing Bryan Gunn done when he took charge was to apply for a league position for next season.

Obviously realised what an insane decision it was in the first place!

    At norwich I was told

by one of their coaching staff that they organise the occasional friendly against local amateur sides and play their reserve players in those or even less frequently they pay for a professional reserve team to come and play them. The important point is that Norwich have to pay all the costs.

Yeah I Reckon It's Cost Cutting As Well

Makes you worry about our club finances. There's just no positives for getting rid of the reserve team.

    How much does it cost?

The hire of a coach for away games and floodlights for home games?

Even many non league teams have a reserve team.

Come to that, some Sunday league teams do.

    There is..

Davey has barely used the save as a place to fill with Academy lads. It's been very rare that any so called first teamers on teh fringe of the first 11/16 have played. And then we expect them to be match sharp when called upon.

    See. I'm defending KO here...
