    The board has called a crisis meeting to assess whether signing Michael Tonge is worth losing Tyrone's patronage. Bobby Hassell has offered to take a cut in wages to push the deal through while the rest of Barnsley holds it's breath.

    CLub confirmed on official site we are in talks with both Stoke and Tonge about a loan deal to end of season. Was reported on Sky Sports so i think they have released statement to clarify things!!

    Brian was a very good player for Barnsley

    Whether he's capable of reaching the heights he managed previously, I simply don't know. What I do know is that I'd be happy were he to re sign for us. I'm aware that others don't share my opinion.

    I was going to say that you've just given his season the kiss of death if he does join us. I do agree though that he is just the type of player we need and it will **** the dee dars off so everyones a winner.
