A part of me thinks that we might have and I'm trying to look forward to visiting Carlisle next season, the other part of me thinks we could just do it...if we can get the ball in the net that is.

    Too true.

Sometimes I really hate being a Barnsley fan, wish it wasn't such an emotional experience!

    You mean today

    Or in the last week?
    Or a bit longer ago?

    It is an addiction.

And when it's good it's mind blowing, but the downs are so gutting, like yesterday. Just hope as Bassett used to say that what goes around comes around, we are due some luck!

    We aint got the bottle

irrelevant how we played them off the park on Saturday, its all gravey. just like last season when we hammered teams and managed to lose. it comes down to bottle with only a handful of games left, and we havent got it.

as always, it comes down to the players you buy and the ones you dont. 2 defining moments for me this season:

    1. signing Wright AND Richards.
    2. not signing a replacement for Burns.

Ritchie will have learnt from this season. if he's given a chance next year to put it right, maybe we'll benefit.

Have we the ability ? In my opinion , yes .

Has the squad , as a whole , the strength of character to see the job through ? If they want to silence the doubters , then they have to start winning matches again . As an eternal optomist , I still think we'll do it . But it's difficult to argue against the pessimists ( or realists , as they call themselves ) when the results , at such an important time of the season , are so poor .
