I seem to remember relegating Mansfield in our league 1 days

And also tranmere away in league 1

Sure we scored 2 or 3 goals in last 8 mins to win the game

Sheff Utd when they were relegated to league one. OK to be fair I think they would have gone down regardless but they went into the game having to win and they didn't so I claim it as a relegation victory for the reds.

Think we put Sunderland into play offs for relegation in late 80's I think

Didn't we fail to relegate Newcastle when Keegan had just taken over? - If we had won they'd be down but we drew at Oakwell. Early 90s?

Luton away in 96, won 3-1 and sent them down. Also didn't we send Walsall down when we won there and got in the playoffs?

Yes, we were 2-0 down and won 3-2.

Can remember their fans taunting us "Mickey mouse club"
Their faces were a picture when the 3rd goal went in.

Peterborough. I think it was a 2-2 draw at Oakwell, during this spell in the Championship.

    No.

It was a very close-run thing, though.

Bradford stayed up in the end. They beat Oldham (?) on the night Tony Blair got into power (I think!), and legend says that a number of Barnsley fans were there, after Bradford supporters' favourable reaction to our promotion the previous Saturday.

Nah, they beat Charlton a couple of days later and stayed up.

I was there. Roger Wylde was magnificent, even though he could hardly stand up. I remember the ridicule we got from their fans, until it for some explicable reason stopped. A highlight in my career.

Walsall were already relegated by then. Think we just confirmed that they finished bottom. That was probably the most nervous a football match I've ever seen us play. Think we weren't confirmed in the play - offs and a win would have made certain. They were playing without any pressure as they had already been relegated and I think we needed a dodgy penalty to finally see them off.
