And before you absolutely slate me it does seem a rather crazy statement but when you think about it we could have the likes of winnall, Roberts/Mawson, hourihane, Crowley,Wilkinson, Jackson sat on the bench!! Some big decisions for Mr Johnson
I think we have too many good midfielders not to play five in middle scowern, hourhine, cowley,Williams,Pearson, Harris hard decisions
Lots of good players who are all about as good as each other. So far none of them this season have really excelled so it's still difficult to pick between them.
Literally just been chatting to Dyson and said same. Too much choice. Weaknesses at left back still but got about eight quality midfielders.
I'd forgot about Williams.....surely there's going to be 2 going out somewhere because you can't keep them all happy and players want to play. A suppose its a nice choice though
We have some good players and we have some average ones. The key is for the manager to select a good balance between them to extract the best from them. The question should be have we got a decent manager at long last? Lee Jay makes the right noises and appears to be vibrant and hungry to succeed. The verdict so far is bang average to poor. Let's review this at the end of the season and see where we are then.
Most definitely! 1 full season in charge is a definite requisite for any manager barring any absolute disasters. Take stock and review our position in May
What we have is 2 very good footballers in Crowley & Hourihane who both want to play the same role, as does Rothwell by trying to squeeze them all in or even 2 of them in you end up with an unbalanced side & players getting in each other's space & not enough forward runners
For a team that's 12th in Division 3 having just got hammered by Rochdale there really is no other word that will suffice.
Well they're alright players. A strong bench in theory should guarantee a strong league performance - we'll be able to change things around during the game, players should be fresher toward the end of the season, and we can have a go in the cups without seeing the fallout we did against Rochdale.
Its not possible to have too many good players. If I had to rotate my squad every week because i had to choose between Messi and Ronaldo that wouldn't be a problem.
Only just spotted this thread. I reckon a lot of people will be further adding to the thread by 5pm if we've not won. Exciting.
