Have We Had A Bid For A Player Then?

We have heard that sort of thing many times over the years about our players.

 

I would say we have,maybe even 2

and for some reason Iam not worried, Ireckon Simon will sort it.

 

Thats just a way of softening us up for thye bad news

How we cant afford to refuse to sell our best players. Why 'sell' ffs we need the 'best' players, if were going to sell get some non performers out of the door.

 

He's blaming the fans for not turning up, it's our fault we're going to sell our best players in January.

 

to be fair

everything he says is very true, or we could keep the players sign some more, achieve nothing anyway and end up in a fincial mess again. no player cant be replaced.

 

I Don't Like What Davey Says

If the crowds are down for our position, the spending should support that. He can't go blaming the crowds when we have to sell someone. If he budgeted for what's coming through the turnstyle, we should be alright.

he is saying seen as selling a player would be our main source of revenue because our crowds havent gone up, that we would be very foolish to turn down a big offer on a player that would show a massive profit, ppl need to be realistic here

Just how he talks comes off as "we have spent above our means to get to where we are and because the crowds are down we will have to sell to fund more deals in the transfer market".

we are playing above our means if a big offer comes in we should take it now beacuse it may not come again. for example if someone came in with £2mil for howard i would snatch there hands off.

For two million quid I would sell anyone on our team and wouldn't blame the board for accepting. I would also like Cryne to be given a big sum of it as a reward for all the times he's put his hand in his pocket over the past two years.

 

i think the best thing to remember is

12 months ago barring perhaps 1 or 2 at best we wouldnt have been bothered had anyone left and been replaced, now we want to keep the team we have, so well done Mr Davey, and if some do leave im sure we can find replacements for them.

 

He's only flopped so far in bringing in strikers and so i'm sure the replacement will be adequate. We hadn't heard of a vast majority of our signings before they got brought in. But most of them are good enough for the championship. I hope Mr Davey and everyone else behind the scenes have had a good christmas with their families.
