As I'm sure that's what I read from Mark Stokes' site... but then the other thing I just read on here said we're considering £1m after rejecting two previous bids. I can't believe we'd sell for anywhere near £1m when we paid £1.2m for Hume. What would the point be?
Just listened to Simon Davey on radio Sheffield We've rejected substantial bids from 2 championship clubs. Paul Walker asked if they were 7 figure sums and Davey confirmed they were. We have not accepted any bids. However, the way Davey was talking it sounded as though we may well accept any improved bids for Jamal. A big temptation, it could happen, etc
Depends whats on the table I don't think Davey will hold him back but I don't think he'll insist on going if we cant agree a fee. It would be difficult to resist in excess £1.5m I would have thought?
Dont think he signed a 3 year deal if he was doubtful of his immediate future because he could have walked in 5 months and cashed in himself
Hope you're right And I'm sure he was happy to stay at Barnsley. But if he finds out say Reading are interested in him he may have his head turned. I dunno, I want him to stay, but if he should go I hope we get as much as possible.
RE: £1.5m Probably, but when you think of somebody like Chris Brunt,s fee , he,s worth ten of him! /poo
Depends whats on the table........NOPE..........it depends on where we are in the table ........ ..........at the end of the season Because if the sale makes it more difficult for us to stop up and we go down then it will cost much much more than £1 or £2 million to get us back to where we are at present
Actually it depends what you do with the proceeds if indeed we sell. What if it means we bring in a quality striker that nets the elusive goal every 3?
