no he said he was hoping to. speaking with players this week but who knows those clubs might have just said NO
was a bit tongue in cheek from me, however I got the impression it was agents he had trouble with and not the clubs.
Re: was a bit tongue in cheek from me, however I got that impression too; I think he said that if he could get past the odious agents then he was confident he could convince the player to join us.
Bloody agents! I can't understand why they wouldn't want their clients playing. Surely it's better to play, even if it's in a relegation battle in a league lower than to just sit in the reserves?
Re: was a bit tongue in cheek from me, however he did say that BUT the agent doesnt actually own the player the clubs do.So ultimatley its the clubs decision
Well said YT. Got to believe the players we have now are good enough to do it, the results under flicker suggest they are.
But the club needs to bring someone in soon if possible. The window will close and Barnsley could be left with only Kennedy and Steade who are first position left backs. Also Steades been injured a lot this season which will mean he's got little fitness if he needs to come in and play for the first team.
Go with what we've got in my opinion ,it might mean playing the unmentionable one but thats no bad thing
I hear what you're saying, Hemsy. I'm not averse to another body or two, for depth etc. But I'm not going to worry if we can't get the right bodies in. And I believe that's the issue for the manager - he wants the right people/player. And haven't we got Gardner on trial? Could be a good option for the last few games.
Bobby Hassell and Davie Perkins can both play left back, as can McNulty. Hassell did well there before.
