    Yes

no, but I bet you read this quickly :pff

actually just that Lucas keeper on a 1 month loan, should be ok actually. A bigger bloke than Colgan so shud b better challenging for crosses and aerial balls.

David Lucas? David 'nearly fit' Lucas? David "I turned round to look at this bird and did my neck in - that's me out for another six months" Lucas? Inspired.

    Yes - Grant McCann

He's a solid player. Me happy.

Colgan is not good enough for this Division, Lucas is a welcome signing. Look people, just because most of you live your lives through Championship Manager dosn't mean its true. Make do with the little money we have and get behind the team.

Better fan (and more knowledgeable) alert.

Lucas is injury prone and always has been. McCann's done nothing to convince me he's up to this level.

    Better footballer alert.

I actually play the game regularly, semi professional at one stage. I know how difficult it can be, they are people at the end of the day, get behind them or dont - its your choice.

    ...better fan my arse (blagger)

    RE: A few questions.

How can we sign Lucas on a months loan? Surely he's got to be under contract to a club for them to "loan" him out? If he's a free agent then does it still constitute a loan?

When I said 'better fan' I was talking about you and your 'Championship Manager' line.

As for better footballer, maybe. I haven't kicked a ball in years. Kudos for bringing that up though. I bow to your former semi-professional knowledge.

He's not on loan. He's on a month to month contract.

I apologise for my haste. I now feel a lovely person.

The fact that i've played at an highish level dosnt have any bearing, however it just makes me so DAMN MAD that 95% of the people moaning and bitching and whining have never played the game or are women...who lets face it have NO idea really.

It may look VERY VERY easy from the stands, some of the players make it look easy...far from it, instead of BOOING, and those boos coming from the city of NO-Idea-ville. Get behind them, they are better than you, they have off days, they have good days. Would you listen to Paul Hayes if he came to your office and told you how to write a computer script or if Daniel Nardiello came to your hospital and told you how to do open heart surgery...NO...HELL NO, so keep your stupid critiscism to yourselfs. Instead, get behind the lads and lets help keep us up.

I get angry at the team sometimes, i feel i am allowed to, playing the game for the last 14 years, but i realise that they are trying, they arent playing ***** on purpose. Booo the other team, support yours!

    UP THE REDS!!!!

No apology necessary mate. I'd spend half my time doing it.

I'll cheer whoever we end up with, don't doubt that. Like most people I imagine. I think the downer stems from all the talk of ambition from all quarters, but it doesn't seem to be materialising. We see the clubs below us going for proven experience to get them out of trouble. This may prove an expensive gamble, but it's showing their fans they're making the effort to get out of trouble.

Once again, we look to be gambling on injury prone players and lower league players. Hope it works, but I can understand where the disillusionment comes from.

As to 'who knows best' about football - don't get me started. I have relations who haven't been to Oakwell for years telling me who should be dropped and why - 'cos they read the report in the Chronicle/Star etc.
