Because we got the chance of tickets We managed to get 9 tickets but we only needed 5 so we sold the other 4 to Spurs fans outside Wembley for a fraction of what the touts were charging. I was only 11 at the time, we were sat near the Cov fans and they were amazing compared to the Spurs fans.
RE: Because we got the chance of tickets I went to the Coventry 3 Leeds 2 semi that year at Hillsborough and the Conventry fans were pretty good then too. I actually tipped them for the cup that year really early on and they went to Man United and won I seem to remember. At the end I was sat there watching the players like greg downs celebrating and thought it was such an achievement for a relatively small club like that to get to a cup final. Little did I know that 21 years later...
I went to the scouse derby in 1989. the game was a bit boring until the last minute equaliser and the extra time. i didn't really care who won, cos i just wanted it not to be a draw, so that i could see the cup presented. then the scousers ruined the lap of honour with the pitch invasion.
