but first let me tell you, about my aunties garden at number 249 sheff road Birdwell,i have just spoken to my Cousin about it,she s 82 now Lives on Balk lane birdwell,she recalls as a young girl,ahe put several seeds under the window,in the front little garden,and one Grew,and it grew,aand grew ,it was the Biggest Sun Flower you have ever seen,it grew right to the roof,and had to be stopped,the photo was in all the Papers......now it would br 1947 i kived at Number Rockley Avenue, it was winter,ny friend who is still alive lives in Elsecar,the fire had not been lit it was frozen,he was doing a bit of courting in front of the fire,he lit the Fire,quite normally,when bang the lttle Boiler blew up Peppering part of his anatomy!!! the council men came next ,they took a picture of that Bpiler it was blown apart,the pic was in the Star.... now i think it was 1960.s when i was night watch man at Hansons Newmiller dam....it wa thursday Night ,i was on nights it was 3 am knock at the door i opened it,that was it,2 men stocking s over their head got me Hook (MEAT) line and i was sunk...the nicked the wages(they were caught 8 months later,got 3 years)when we got the daily Herald that Morning,on the Front Page,Hold up at Wakefield,it was in small print in the Bottom right corner Cheers thanks for reading...i dont think any one does BOB!!!????

Hey up Ta,wunc went to Oxford,err!?or was it cambridge,when i was at Aldershot learning to drive,if i remember right we stayed out 3 days,Swindon was one Place,it was either OX,or cambs the other,all i remeber was every one in these gowns and hats n things,just like on,t pictures,Dons i think they called em..
RE: I always read em cocker. I'm not too far from Swindon and Aldershot so it was probably Oxford. To be fair, I actually live in a place called Wallingford but noone has heard of it so I usually say Oxford.

Nice one, Bob I've been on the front page of Barnsley Chronicle as well That was 4 years ago during my first trip to Barnsley, there was a big photo of me wearing a silly red&white hat, and a short story too. I felt like a bit of a celebrity for a day. ff
