A blind man can see even with statistics that under Davey we go one step forward and 2 back, there is no consistency or tactical experience, the team last night for 80% of the game looked disjointed and not interested, Daveys usual static pose with no motivation. I cannot honestly see how people can endure constant bottom of the league finuishes, as Cryne said when he spoke of Andy Ritchie, he has ambitions of premier league football, Ritchie did not agree and thats why he went. Can any one honestly say that Under Davet we will finish even top half. The team members i believe are all capable of a top 10 finish , but under Davey there si somerthing missing to gert the best from the players I have always rthought Davey as the cheap option i know believe that fact is starting to show.
The thing for me is... That in the odd game we've looked really really good and could have hammered some teams with a decent striker. Funnily enough, games where we played 2 wingers on the wing. So when there are games like Ipswich, Charlton, Southampton, Cardiff (all at home), it makes me wonder what's going on. Yes not every team plays at or near their best every game, but we rarely seem to and it's frustrating.
Spot on Row X but watch out for the Davey lovechild gang who'll want to hang you now. I was there too and I was appalled at the tactics and formation. I have never been a Davey fan but I have always looked past him for the sake of the Reds but last night was the last away game I am going to until this fecking muppett is sacked.Once my season ticket has finished I'll assess again - if Davey is still here I'll be keeping my hard earned cash in my pocket. I know I'm not alone in feeling like this so up to you now Mr Cryne, take the Davey blinkers off or prepare for league one football (if not this season then next) and crowds of around 8000.
Davey has somehow managed to assemble a decent ... ......... Championship squad, and that's as much as credit as he deserves, because he clearly has no idea whatsoever of how to get the best out of them. My theory is because we have some decent payers, occasionally they 'click' and we put on a good show, but mostly they are a team of individuals doing their own thing and lacking direction, so in most cases it all goes pear-shaped, especially away from home. I would say that a decent manager, with some tactical expertise and man-management skills, could make a really good TEAM from our squad, and that's why we should get rid of Davey before he gets us relegated and before the better players leave the club.
RE: Davey has somehow managed to assemble a decent ... Unfortunately I dont believe sacking the manager with 12 games to go is the answer, however there surely has to be a change in the summer... At best we will have scraped relegation for the 3rd season running, at worst we will be looking forward to trips to Yeovil, Southend and Colchester Neither of these can be seen as the continual improvement Pat Cryne wanted back in January...
i think Cryne will be challenged tomorrow night on this we do have the best team we have seen in years at oakwell but the person in charge isn't right again he as blamed the referee for our loss i am bored of that excuse now
in addition I agree Davey was the cheap option he hasnt took us forward one bit he as gave us memorable times as barnsley boss but he is one lucky manager!
That is a sentance i have etched into my brain about the last 18months 'no consistency or tactical experience'
Lets face it, there is no logical excuses he can give for his tenure as manager, he blames every one else when results go against us and the guy will not admit when HE has made mistakes, as much as i hate Sheff Utd and Sheff Wed, both Blackwell and Laws admit when they get it wrong, I dont recall Davey ever apologising to the fans, even those of us who made tje 8 hour round trip last night
