we gained another point away from the bottom 3. the other 2 points would have been a god send, with wolves away on saturday. don't think as many points will be needed to stay clear of relegation this season, but we really should be at least a mid table side now

Agree, we're not far off being a solid Championship side.....

2 or 3 good signings come Jan and we'll be ok.

simon davey has got a very good record when it comes to transfers.

Great signings - muller, da silva, campbell-ryce, kozluk, souza, foster, colace, steele, hume!

Good signings - van homoet (not bad cover), macken (the type of player we needed, far better than the likes of richards), nyatanga (good player to replace kay), odejayi (i know i will be shot down, but for £200k he ain't that bad - he paid for his fee at chelsea anyway!)

Bad signings - johnson, christenson, el haimour (from what i have seen), rigters (so far!)

Not sure - mostto (seems to be our cureton if given a chance up front - good movement), cureton (loan)

He has also shipped out the rubbish: kay, austin, richards, hayes (i didn't mind him), williams, colgan, howard ;)

If davey can keep finding people like colace and souza we'll be fine. Let's just hope he can either find some great strikers or get a specialist coach in to work with them.

I don't trust him with strikers, but he's done ok everywhere else.

Re: look , lets be sensible here..

despite the frustrations and the criticisms, if we had won the games that were there to win( and we can all name them, when we were clearly capable of securing the points) we would be close to the play offs by now, which must indicate something positive about the side....surely?

Whether the issue is about luck or management, we are not really that bad a side.

Some good signings and fine tuning might make all the difference.

    Correct.

If we'd won some more games we'd be close to the play-offs. We're pretty good really.

    Ah but

If we'd won fewer games we'd been nearer the bottom, so I don't think you'd do that well after all.
