It couldn't have happened to a more deserving set of coin throwing, brick chucking, arrogant, self-unaware, horrible neanderthal ******* than them. Large areas of Goldthorpe, Mexborough and certain streets in Wombwell will be in mourning. Fcking shame after their concern for us over recent years. Enjoy it you b'stards, and I hope it's a long, long painful experience.
if the administration rumour is true............. they will only be looking at signing non-league players-no-one in their right mind would leave a league club to go to them
it will take them a couple of years to sort their finances out-they don't own the ground so no assets-Bates will probably leave and ask for his money back
I think they are due a long stay in the lower reaches myself

Hope so Mind, as far as I'm aware we don't have any assets, so we're not in the best position should things go wrong.
RE: if the administration rumour is true............. But don't they have their debts wiped out if they go into admin? It might be worth a 10 point deduction to start again. Leeds United 2008 reborn, what an awful thought. I honestly think I got as much pleasure this weekend from the fact that Leeds have been (as good as) relegated, as I did knowing we were safe in Championshiop for another 12 months. They really are a despicable bunch of morons but the thought they can go into admin and come out debt free worries me.
RE: Hope so as far as I understand it-the longterm? plan is to buy back the ground-minus the carpark/housing estate? -when finances permit
Don't panic those owed money have to be consulted and if they don't agree to the terms of 10p for every £1 owed then Leeds could find their problems are only just starting!
thing is though............... would you rather have 10p in the £ of something or 100p in the £ of nothing?
It still annoys me that the old Barnsley FC allegedly got away with not paying loads of small creditors when in administration

RE: thing is though............... If they go into admin this season, aren't the points automatically deducted this season? That's what I thought anyway. Let's hope it happens and then they beat Derby 5-0 and Hull lose 4-0 next weekend. ooh they'd be spitting feathers.
Players are classed as "assets" they could be sold off to pay the Creditors. It could be a case of the major Creditors are getting wiser and know that going into Admin. is an easier option for some football clubs, after all it's easier to pay off £1m to someone than £10, and could hold out and force the club into receivership to get everything back. At least that's the way I see it . Unfortunately the smaller ones could lose out either way.
RE: if the administration rumour is true............. I've heard they will go into administration before the season ends. That way they will incur a 10 point penalty this season and not next season. Anybody else heard that?
