Was rather optimistically hoping the club would have learnt summat.

Why wait til you've queued 6 hours to announce that folks with cash can go to the office futher up? Would it not have been better to broadly advertise in advance the fact that "cash only" turnstiles would be available. That would have enabled sales to be quicker, and those with cash don't have to wait for credit cards transactions to go thru.

20,000 + seats in the stadium - was it totally beyond possibility to have a queue inside the ground? (Realise there's risk assessments etc, but surely could have been arranged?). Even a lass like me in the peak of physical fitness, was struggling with backache after 3 hours.

Why put a sales van in the car park entrance? Anyone with an ounce of business acumen would have seen today as a huge sales opportunity - I'd have got the casual staff in, put the sales van WHERE PEOPLE WERE STANDING WITH NOWT TO DO, and I'd also have got the snack bars up & running.

PA system - that could have been put to use

Instead we get some cheap tat t shirts on sale 100 yards away, and AN ICE CREAM VAN!!!

I don't like to slate the club, but all this was said after the Huddersfield tickets, and whilst I appreciate the club only has a certain number of staff available, they wasted at least 2 people sitting in the cold staffing a stall that no-one was looking at.

Having spent the last 15 years organising events, and using feedback from customers to continually improve them, I'm just a bit disappointed that the club didn't learn how to look after people who are prepared to stand around for hours on end to get a ticket.

No criticism of the staff on duty today - must have been a pretty rubbish day for them too.

Could Have Got Queues Down Quicker And Made More Money Easily

As mentioned, the cash only part should have been open all day. Apparently all tickets have to go through the computer and that's why you couldn't buy at a turnstile like Cardiff or Wembley. But surely those paying with cash could have been sorted and then put through the computer in their own time, when they have more available. Those Anfield shirts for the day out would be shameful even on the market in town. They could have made good money with a refreshment van selling food and drink.

The cash queue was open most of the day - can't say if it was from 9 - they sere sending people across from the front of the queue at regular intervals
