and around oakwell to home, I cant see any reason why the game has been postponed.

There is very little snow on pavements and almost none at all on the roads.

    bonkers.

IF its been done for "safety reasons" then the competence of the persons responsible for the decision ought to seriously questioned.

I cant help thinking the 2 clubs have got their heads together and decided its in their respective interests to postpone.

    Agreed

Whoever has decided that the roads etc are not safe to travel on should be sacked from their job as i certainly woul not trust them to make a judgement on safety matters in the future. The roads around oakwell are perfectly fine.

Heavy snow in the South and Midlands.

They are worried about the traveling supporters, apparently.

    absolute rubbish

Not your comment, their decision if that is their decision. There are more than one roads between london and barnsley and travelling fans could quite easily find an alternative route

    In fact

    the official reason is

"Although the Oakwell pitch is playable, the surrounding areas have been deemed as being too treacherous for supporters attending the game." which is clearly absolute B*ll*cks.

IMHO It's been called off because it suits the football management of both BFC and CPFC.

Unfortunately the game isn't played on the roads.

It's played inside the stadium where the stands and steps are iced up.

nowt to do with inside the ground according to the official source.

I'm surprised that you'ld come out with that or believe it if that's what you have been told

    Where do you mean Windy?

On the roof above supporters heads that are dangerous? Or on the ground that we'd have to walk on to get to our seats?

    hahaha

I'm telling you if there is then why has the club said otherwise?

Why has the stadium not been made safe then even if I imagine for one minute it isn't? Incompetence or design..take your pick.

It's perfectly safe everywhere I've seen around Oakwell but for the odd patch of snow.

Theyve had almost a week to put grit or something down to clear the terraces of ice though haven't they?
