Biggest shock of the day yesterday was not seeing perkins come out for the 2nd half, thought he was one of flickers untouchables. Didn't we play much better in the 2nd half too. Flicker took too long to learn lessons, it was his ultimate downfall.
I still like Perkins in a 5 man midfield. He lets the others play. He just can't be left with the responsibility of being the one to make us play, which he is in a 4.
Does not being able to play in a four excuse waving a leg at the ball instead of getting stuck in ? He's got a lot of folk fooled.
A 3 man midfield is perfect for both Perkins and Mellis, these 2 with Kelvin should have been played a hell of a lot more. Wiseman RWB for me as well, this kid has pace and should be backed more to use it getting forward!! RNL should have been the LWB.
I agree with that, in a 5 he covers Kennedy quite a bit which we need when Paddy is played wide left.
I think we played better in the second half because Brum knew they were in control and therefore let us play a bit.
Perkins has been shocking this season......really shocking. What made my blood boil yesterday was when we had a free kick 10 yards in Brums half. Al our defenders were lined up on half way line, Perkins passed the ball back to MVoto and then stood there watching. Very typical of a current BFC.......we should have bodies in the box and put the ball in to "the mixer". For me, I would try and sell Perkins. He's become a liability. Keith Hill might be interested in that signing?
