Looking at the start of the season: Wigan first up .... Worst possible time to play them ... Unlucky. would sooner have had them on a Tuesday night in November. Jennings sending off ..... Debatable ... Unlucky. Squashed our game completely. Blackpool .... Fluke goal, last minute. Unlucky. We never looked like conceding. Blackpool were no better than us. That bit of luck has jumped them to top of the league with confidence. Charlton .... Two up and cruising .... Gave it away ... Switched off. Negligent. Blackburn .... Dubious sending off ... Changes the game instantly. Unlucky. Luck has a massive impact on the game and can be the difference between winning and losing, confidence and lack of it. However, as the old cliche goes ... You make your own luck. Jordan Rhodes changed the game today by making his own luck. We need to be a bit more streetwise. Top players play the ref all the time. We get done all the time. Wise up or we will fall victim again and again.
need to be bigger than ref decissions ,show what we can do tottally ageee make your own luck ,that scrapped goal .the defender that walks tall bosses his area the no fear factor ,nothing to loose ,footballs a simple game, and as said before make your own luck and confidence builds and matches are drawn and won and not lost.
I was generalising over the four games. Too many soft goals conceded. But we've **** loads of round pegs now, but it looks like we've another manager obsessed with playing square ones in the round holes. Or sumat.
