In weird opera styles with warbling voices on every word. There's nothing worse

    Me anall.
Nothing I'd like better than a national anthem we can all join in. Currently people like me who won't sing it are classed as unpatriotic by some. Load of b****x.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I'd sooner have real musicians warbling than x factor wannabees.

I've been fortunate enough to have worked at the Rugby World Cup over the last few weeks. It'd be great to have a truly English national anthem (Land of Hope and Glory often suggested) as the Irish, Welsh and Scots have. Something all can associate with. The South African anthem takes some beating, the words and tune are powerful.
