I think the right decision was made. Looked like he leaned into the ball with his arm and the shot also looked like it was going on target.

The angle may have been deceiving I think. I'd need to see it from behind the shot to be sure.

The fact Cov didn't appeal and a lot of their fans saying they didn't think it was a pen suggest it may not have been.

Seen decisions on live times on Sky where on first showing it looks like a foul/pen or whatever and they show a better angle and it's completely different.

Doubt Kozzy and the other players would have got quite so upset and angry had it been so blatant.

    Clear penalty imho

However we still should have had the game sewn up by then, not talking our chances as per usual. Still think we'll stay up, got a good feeling about the game on saturday?

The one thing that is annoying me

Is ok it might have been intentional, it might not. That's one thing that can never be proven but it DID hit his arm, we can see it hit his arm so why the **** is kozluk saying it hit his chest? Grow some balls and admit it hit your arm

Looked a pen to me tbh

but I would like to see it in slow-motion to make sure. There must have been a reason why the referee didn't give it.

    Didn't see it? Wasn't sure?

Plenty of reasons why a ref might appear to have a better view but not give a decision until his assistant tells him they saw something.

Could he have got out of the way?

    No

    Was it deliberate..no.

Would we have been given it at the other end..probably not.

Very harsh IMHO and the fact that the ref standing yards away indicated a corner speaks volumes.

He was ten yards away last night. Maybe he was watching the other 21 players on the pitch? Watching for tugs or pulls etc?

His arm was raised towards the ball

It even looked like he leaned towards it

Maybe he should try concentrating on what is happening in front of him then.

    Never touched his arm

Decision not justified, the only possible reason the linesman could have for thinking it might have been a penalty was the raised arm and a fan at the back of him saying it was hand ball, because he couldn't see it clearly from where he was. Anybody who says it was a definite penalty is a liar and should be banned from the board for being a Dee-Dar sympathiser and closet Donny fan........so there (givinfinger)

I think the reason everyones so pissed off with the penalty was that the ref flagged a corner then about 5 seconds later he notices his linesman flagging, then we all knew what was going to happen! plus it wo a game we should have had wrapped up had we been a little more clinical in front of goal, and even more frustrating with the amount of late goals we've conceded this year! Can't knock any of the players last night they all ran and ran all night (Kozluk himself stopped 2 certain goals with off the line clearances one in each half) and the travellin support wo top notch stayed after final whistle to cheer them off despite the late penalty...come on you reds
