There defenders were too big and strong for our attackers................made me wonder at the match

What might have happened if we had a big centre forward on the bench to rough these two defenders up a bit. Yer know an awkward sod who puts himself about and causes the ball to bobble about in their 18 yard area.
Dare I say a centre forward like........BARRY CONLON

worst strike force we have had for a while.

may possibly be the worst two strikes in this division.

scnuthorpe must be rubbing there hands together for getting that amount of money off us for hayes.

i would much rather have one of their other 2 strikers (keogh or sharp) than bloody hayes

    Aye

That'd make sense if Conlon had any strength or presence at all.

The Rotherham fans said to me yesterday that signing him showed how low they'd fallen.

RE: worst strike force we have had for a while.

Tried to look for positives with Hayes for some time now but patience has finally run out. Only attributes I can see are a good first touch and seem quite adept at lobbing the keeper when he's given loads of time (not very often). His heading ability is non existent, he has no pace and is finishing is woeful. Don't even get me started on his lack of aggression...the guy plays like a fairy ! For a club with no money to spend to end up paying 150K for his services is tragic, a total waste of money.
Richards is a workmanlike, run of the mill, lower league journeyman, no more no less. His goal ouput is likely to be seven or eight a season at best.
Our three main strikers have contributed 10 goals between them thus far and we're nearly half way through the season ! This is the reason why we are looking at a top ten finish at the very best. Wonder if Scunny would do us a swap - Hayes for Sharp ?

Please remove the rose tinted specs. Hope he proves me wrong but I doubt it.

    Hayes was Sh*t on Saturday..

BUT I'd still rather him with his legs tied together than Conlon. Conlon would have been in the centre circle when Hayes was missing the chance he had on Saturday, and I'd rather have a striker whose actually in the box and will score those chances more often than not.
