Nah, I would play Kay before Reidy. he did well for us in league 1, but just don't think he is good enough for this league. Kay had a disaster of a game on sat, but would still leave him in. and I would give nards a run out with stan and put pete on the bench

I think that you lot are far too sensible for the pair of pillocks running this club, meaning shepherd with a small s and davy. If you think that these two numpties are capable of thinking as you people do then I'm afraid you're greatly mistaken

Well there isn't much point in starting him if we're not going to pass the ball into his feet. He was our only threat 2nd half when they started to realise that maybe he can't do anything with a pass 10 yards over his head. Hence his run down the wing and great cross for Kyel Reid's chance, and another run and cutback near the end.

The quicker our team realise that these Hungarians quite like the ball into their feet, the better. Because until then, we're not going to win anything.

Classic scenario of finding a forward who is strong in the air and then hoofing aimless balls up to him. Ferenczi is at his best when bringing others into the game, usually on the floor.

In addition, he's probably the most dangerous aerial threat we've had since Ashley Ward and so we play a tight narrow midfield and thus stop any chance of us getting crosses in for him.

Still, Shep seemed to enjoy the performance on Saturday. Clapped the team off like his life depended on it.

    just making a point

i think the most important thing we need to do is regain some width, and the obvious stop hoofing it up the pitch. Davey's approach is to concentrate on defensive responsibility and just stay in the game and hope to nick something. risky approach at this stage in some ways.

We can't defend, so why even attempt to!? Lets use the players we have, and lets get some balls into Ferenczi.

    Colgan

    Hassell, Kay, Nayatanga, Hecky

    Hayes, Howard, Jones, Devaney

    Ferenczi, Radjki (Nardi)

Midfield there to trouble opponents, and play to the strengths of the front two!

    RE: just making a point

thats why i said lets get the width back get some balls into the box for him, not long balls down the pitch. 6 games to try and win, 3 wins and we safe so lets just go for it

I would love to see us playing with the same tempo, width and quality that we were under Ritchie. Swap Ferenczi for Richards and I think that would be side worth watching.

We've got to play for the points against Southend, Ipswich, Palace and Leicester.

Only one we need to be extra cautious is Vs Birmingham. Saying that, we need to stop giving these teams respect and actually battle against them. We cant afford to go into the game Vs WBA needing to win.

I'd rather go down fighting against Brum rather than watch a dismal display like Saturday.

Damn right we can't go in to the Baggies game needing summat...I'm gonna be in Aus!!

    exactly

the way dave has approached derby and sunderland we might as well have gone for it. if he thinks we cant win then why not try. 0 points is still 0 points. but davey will go same again as he thinks its working.

Shep 'did a silly' at 4.15 on Saturday.

Either that or he'd spilt his bovril.

Also think that Hayes was our best player on Sat and should keep his place. When Devaney is back i would still keep Hayes on the right, put Disco on the left and get Howard and Togwell in middle. Next in line for a central berth would be Jones.
