The story from their fans is..

that he's an Essex lad and his parents own a pub in Southend, that Tilson is willing to pay for someone to play upfront with Eastwood to create chances (seems the ideal role for Hayesy- although of course, a striker is judged merely on scoring goals so he'd be useless. :) ) and that Hayes dad apparently said that Barnsley would be willing to sell him.

Could be BS, but the story is believable..ish.

Would be a great shame, our most creative player by a mile, also my little girls favorite player

RE: The story from their fans is..

I met Hayes' Dad at Chesterfield away. Passionate about his lad. - Paul - and so should he be.

I did say that I thought that Hayes needed to score more but his assists were great.

Hayes' dad, not impressed, did not like his son singled out for lack of goals, whist accepting that he did need to score more,

This was at Chesterfield away on New Year's Day.

I can agree with much that Paul's Dad said.

Hayes is a a class above ths Division, for goals and assists .

I agree Tina, just hope he starts at Cardiff. What a difference he made against huddersfield. In the home leg struggle to make chances i.e hayes on bench. away leg create chances, hayes playes. we create a lot more chances when hayes is on the field

wonder if he'll play upfront alongside Nards or on the wing?
He played very well on the wing against Hudds but i think we should play him upfront and put Shuker back on the wing.
    Nice selection problem for Ritchie.

Shuker's been awful for weeks and deserves to be on the bench..

There's no reason to change anything from the Hudders game.

Would leave Shuker on the bench and leave things has the gayfarm. Allows Hays to roam behind frount two, and hence we may score more goals, look at his positioning for penalty and his run when nardi scored

I agree though the Cardiff pitch is wide

and should benefit the winger though Not if he cannot get a cross in.

On balance though I would start with Hayes wide and see what happens.

Harsh on Shuker mind as he has made a SIGNIFICANT contribution this season no matter his failings in the cross department.

Yes he hasnt been on form but lets not forget how good he is on his day. He works his little balls off and has the ability to run around players and score goals (scored 10 this season and hes a winger), Last years player of the season.

No was tempted though, Might have been safer than getting caught with them ar** holes down by Holset's car park. Funny thing is not really spoken to my mates much after monday they just seem to hang up, don't know why. Good beer in Slubbers though!
