talented lad, decent first touch, nice close control, but im afraid he is a bit bone idol, but still early days so 6 outta 10 from me
Not bad but not great either. Worst thing for me is that for a 6 footer he doesn't make an effort to win headers or even put the defender off, whereas 5 foot nowt Shuker never lets an opponent have a free header. I think Nardiello given a run in the team would score more goals.
RE: He's got a touch of class some people on here dont stop!!!!1 min its big baz next its hayes!!oh im sorry, if u were called wayne rooney or micheal chopra i wudnt argue but your not!so ease off him!hes hardly idle!!1.he holds the ball up well, 2. chases most balls near him 3. hes got loadsa potential n looks like an excellent buy4.When hayes is on the ball i beleive something may happen!!! but what else should i expect on here???why am i suprised?? ta
totaly agree a nice player to watch, needs a partner to play with who is as sharp as he is. (soz Baz, tooooo slowwwwwww and can't keep up when we are on the break)
you see, this is a board for people to express their opinions not say they re right and everyone else is wrong. they can say what they want about him.
If you were a defender who would you rather mark Hayes OR 6'4" big ugly irish man I think I (and alot more) would go with Hayes And yet big bazzer gets the stick from the so called fans You can play Hayes or yer can play Nardia but yer've got to have bazzer in the side
looks to have some class to me... has the ability to find a snap shot from nowhere but unfortunately is restrained by a lack of decent supply. I don't find him "bone idle" tho. A case of listening to too many Scunny fans, me thinks. Funny, he wasn't "bone idle" whilst scoring. Wonder how many games he can go without scoring before the boo boys start on the terraces tho...
RE: If you were a defender who would you rather mark You are having a laugh. His only job is to score goals thats what strikers do, problem is nobody has told BIG BAZZA.
Conlon is easy to mark and challenge. All you need to do is lean into him and over he goes **** Hayes is far better. He's a footballer.
Seen the skills, and the part he played in our 2nd goal? Thought not, he's a good player and once he's got his confidence back up and fitness back he'll do well again like last season up until he got injured
7 goals in half a season, sh*te aint it?

He layed a pass off for our second goal. Big deal. Hayes and Shuker actually created the chance. Skills? What Skills? Falling over. Unable to get in the box from open play? Complete lack of pace. When will he be fit? How long does he need? Cos by my reckoning he's had since May...nigh on four months. Seven goals was not BAD last season. I still like him as a player in the fact that he's honest and he gives all he's got. But he's not good enough. Not as a squad player, certainly not as first choice. Sorry but I know good players, even at this level. Just cos we have little or no money does not mean I've forgotten what constitutes a good CENTRE FORRAD.
