Left the KC tonight and visited my local club for a couple and read the HDM and the match preview and PP's thoughts and various other things re Hull City. Oh my! What will you make of it Dazed? Looking forward to your report. Reading the HDM after you have seen the game is not recommended.
It was so wonderful to get those two goals, hey! 2-0 up and Jon Parkin looking soooo good.
Barnsley always looked like they would score, at least one before half time. Mark Devaney, Paul Hayes, Brian Howard, Marc Richards and Sam Togwell - These five where always buzzing around our box - they broke forward as a well co-ordinated unit. The way they moved the ball around you would have thought they had just come down from the Prem. not up from League 1.
Our back four had a nightmare against them, and it was a particularly bad night for Delaney and Turner. Add to this, the midfield and the uncomfortable evening for Ryan France who clearly, playing on the left side of midfield did not know what day of the week it was.

Credit due to Barnsley, having gone two nil down they were totally unfazed and continued to play on the grass football. The five players I have mentioned did their jobs with superb application. During the course of their first season in the CCC they will meet far better sides than Hull City, but they need not worry about their survival in this league based on how they played tonight. The problem for them is that they do not have the finance and their squad is very thin. For their sake, just hope they do not sustain the injuries we had last season.

Phil Parkinson. It was an 18000 gate tonigt which is a real concern. As for the team - Just hope we can get a result on Saturday against Derby - otherwise - the Hull City fans - like all others - are very very fickle. Being a Sky fixture does not help either.

    Beautifully put.

Not a negative word. He's obviously spotted a rising talent.

    And I hope he's right.

how nice to read a report like that.....

especially one who can put the defeat to one side and praise the opposition who are supposed to be local rivals, that was a pleasure to read.
