How can he talk a good game then have clueless tactics? He can talk a good game then his tactics don't match his talk. I thank you.
oh dear.....sounds like ****** again can't beat that bag a shlte Blackpool looks desperate stuff I can't help feeling we are going nowhere with Leejay....sorry happy clappers he is far too negative for me.....
As poor as we sounded in the second half, I'd always take a point away from home, even at a ***** team like Blackpool. It's second half performances like the one at home to Shrewsbury that worry me, but it's still early in the season and we've won 4-1 since then. More home results like the Swindon game and no one will have a problem, but a few more Shrewsbury performances/results and patience will wear very thin. Nowhere more so than the board room I would imagine.
Because what he talks and what he does are two completely different things. We should have killed em off after 30 mins
It seemed a very winnable game to me, but at 1-0 up and coasting it doesn't seem we kicked on. I stopped listening once they equalized, but their goal had been coming. By all accounts (folk who went) we were second best for much of the game. The fact that the opposition are so poor makes it feel like a defeat, but an away point is always valuable. It just seems one step forward and at least one step back. Which considering the age of our squad and manager, shouldn't come as a shock. It's inconsistency, it's naive, it's mid table fare. And very dull in large spells so far under this supposedly dynamic and fresh young coach. Time will tell I suppose. Patience is a virtue. But by eck, as much as I want him to do well, as likeable as he is in interviews, he makes it hard work at times. It's very meh supporting/watching us right now. Nice to see Keith and Flicker together again (5th and 6th in the table). Patience.
I would say we'll probably see a mixture. We're a good young side with plenty of talent but plenty of inconsistency. For every Swindon performance there's a Rochdale one and I think we'll continue to see a mixture for the first half of the season. As long as fans stay patient and support us through thick and thin we'll be fine and may be set for a play-off push come the end of the season. But, and this is my opinion and I hope others think the same but I'm not sure that many do, if we can keep the same core group and add quality and for once keep the same manager we'll be well set next season
Given our budget and the lack of any real quality in the league we should be aiming for automatic promotion with play offs being an OK season. At the minute we are miles away from this.
I agree with the majority of that, although I'm yet to be convinced a late play-off push is on the cards this season. As for next season, again, I agree with you, but I thought exactly the same last season. Had we stuck with Wilson I'm convinced we would be in the top six this season. But we sacked him, started again, and if we're not challenging for the play-offs I can see us sacking Johnson, and starting over yet again. And we'll never get anywhere.
Top six with Wilson? I'll have a few pints of what your supping Mr Jay Wilson = Carp in its entirety driving all but the die hards back into their living rooms!
I am yet to be convinced too but a lot can change over a season so you never know We've got to end this cycle somewhere so let it be now
