Made me feel physically sick reading this. New laws need to be brought in for cases of animal cruelty, fines and community service are not adequate. As the article said most of the scrubbers don't pay the fines anyway.
We need more prisons building so there are more spaces and the judges don't have to give lenient sentences due to overcrowding. Cases of animal cruelty like should result in a custodial sentence. End of.

 

A new law was brought in, the Animal Welfare Act, last April. That's best it's gonna get i'm afraid.

 

Your always goin to get sum w****r who's going to do something like that no matter what laws are in place.

 

I know the USA doesn't get much right but...

over here that bloke would get 3-5 years in jail. USA is a lot tougher on animal cruelty cases.

 

It never fails to shock me what some people will do to animals

Also upsetting is how people through their own selfishness let their pets live for far too long.

I know what you mean. Then again at least we have the choice for our pets when things get really bad, wish humans could have that same option

That is just adorable. Wish i could have a dog. I would like a little wiry haired terrier but my cats would not appreciate that.
I never went out and got cats as i've always wanted a dog, but i've ended up taking strays in

i never used to like cats and would never have purposely gone out and got one. I ended up feeding a stray because it was so skinny, he eventually moved in. He must have told other cats cos i ended up with 3. One passed away so i have 2 now. That's enough for me i just hope and pray i don't see anymore strays cos i'm too soft and will end up taking them in
