Headhunters first phone call.... Mr B Davies

    If you were the headhunter appointed to recruit Barnsleys new manager and your primary criteria were

    1. Proven experience at Championship level.
    2. Successful experience in re-invigorating a struggling Championship side.
    3. Good database of contacts
    4. Proven experience of attracting players.

    Wouldn't your first phone call be to Billy Davies, who i believe has one of the best records of any Championship manager?

    Ignore wages etc etc just a first phone call to see if he would be interested.
