Apparently one of the supporters trust dudes came out of the office to meet someonewho'd just turned up and stoodaway from the queue. After a few quiet words he was heard to say, "Wait there" and turned to go back to the office. A security man stepped forward and said words to effect that he'd better not be fetching him tickets or he'd take them off them. Anyway, whatever he'd been told to wait for didn't happen.
Wonder what that was all about?

Which "Trust dude" was this? He should be fairly easy to identify as 3 members of the comitee worked 12 hours shifts at the club to get the tickets out.
i don't know.
I can never get a straight answer to anything about the trust.
How was the discount for trust members at the exec suite do funded? Oh and how did the committee get their tickets?

RE: i don't know. Really? You can't try very hard. >How was the discount for trust members at the exec suite do funded? The discount is given to us by the club. It isn't funded at all. You can take advantage of the discount on Saturday against West Brom if you like. >Oh and how did the committee get their tickets? We pay for them like everyone else (if you are trying to suggest we get freebies or anything being on the board then you are completely wrong). If you are talking about Liverpool tickets then not all comittee members were able to get someone to pick tickets up for them and some are therefore not going to Anfield.
Perhaps his mate didn't know where to queue and wondered if he could wander to the front - hence "wait there" Given that nothing seemed to happen then what's the issue anyway?
If fancy coming along on Saturday Windy. A couple of people have dropped out so there are some spaces available. The Supporters Trust has agreed a match sponsorship package for the forthcoming match against West Bromwich Albion on the 9th February. This is a magnificent offer and gives you the opportunity to sample the match day experience from the comfort of the executive suite for less than half the normal matchday price. The prices for the 2007-2008 season are as follows:- Supporters with Season Tickets = £30.00 Trust members with Season Tickets = £25.00 Non Season ticket holders =£40.00 Trust Members =£35.00 Juniors / Over 60's =£15.00 The price includes a match day programme, groundtour, a meal before the game (Pie and Chips), access to the Executive suite before, Half time and at Full time, or you can stay in the Executive suite and watch the game. A competition is held on the executive floor and a prize given out for the winner/s. Again this offer is well below the price normally charged. We would ask that you support it and hopefully further offers of this kind can be taken up. Dress code smart casual, no Jeans, football shirts or trainers. Please note that we require payment at least 48 hours prior to the event. If you cann0t make the event please contact the marketing department at Oakwell and also notify the Trust. Tickets will be sent on receipt of payment.
RE: i don't know. It's stil hearsay though Don. Personally I wouldn't get too excited about something that I'd not heard in person.
RE: i don't know.
The discount is given to "us" (trust members?) by the club? Your discount comes out of club funds? The funds you are supposed to be in the business of increasing? And presumably one would have to join your club on or before Saturday to benefit from this discount?
I asked how you got your tickets, not were they paid for (if you are trying to suggest that I'm trying to suggest thatyou get freebies or anything being on the board then you are completely wrong).
And regarding the question of the vote on a smoking area I had to try very hard to get, what was in the end, a wholly bizarre and uninformative answer. Most questions are ignored in the first instance. Why do you need us to "try very hard" for an answer?

RE: i don't know. The price structure is agreed by the club. We put money into the club funds by running the Exec dos not take it away. (About 10K last year). Its an opportunity for the ordinary fan to experience the exec experience at Oakwell. By "us" I mean fan. It's open to anybody. Even you.
RE: i don't know.
First hand from a reliable source. He does refer to the trust as "a right set of *******" but I can't see how he could alter what he saw without out-and-out lying.

I didnt hear the club complaining when...
...the Trust were using Trust Funds to advertise the community fixture discount. Something the club should have paid for themselves.
To suggest their taking financialadvantage of anything is a p*sstake
