    at Hudds railway station after leaving the game early. Getting a pasting is bad enough but to get arrested as well. I know Blue and know he's not one to cause trouble, sounds like they were unlucky dropping on their crew. Fancy, so-called Huddersfield fans leaving the game early.

    I don't know , I wasn't their.Twas just making the point, that in my experience, footy fans don't always attend the game...

    I was inferring if they were actually footy fans at all. I certainly wouldn't leave the ground early if my team was hammering the other side.

    They are not "footy fans" then are they. They are drinkers. Why travel so far just to drink? Don't get that at all (unless of course they went there hoping for a bit of trouble). If so, don't get that either.
    The stupidity of people who go to football just as an excuse for trouble has always puzzled me. Why at football? Cricket and rugby fans can sit together in perfect peace and harmony, throw a bit of light-hearted abuse (if it's Australia). It's funny that at both those games taking beer to your seat is perfectly alright. So why are football fans who drink themselves stupid more likely to cause some trouble than people in other situations? Perhaps the word "stupid" is the clue.

    Yes it's true. They got jumped by about 30 huddersfield lads outside the station apparently. Got a kicking and blue got the worst of it a think. The police then locked them up plus ONE huddersfield fan and charged them all with Affray! They are also banned now and in court in May I think

    World cup coming up I fear the worst, be a 3 year banning order. They always clamp down harder when a tournament is coming up these days. Hopefully they have a good defence and cctv evidence.

    I've travelled all over the country for many seasons following Barnsley and England with the lads who were jumped and not once have we been involved in football hooliganism. They are a top set of lads and over the years I've taken my niece and nephew from a young age with them - if ever I thought they were the sort out looking for trouble I'd never have done so. I spoke to one of them tonight who now has stitches above his eye and a ban until May after being attacked. These lads are some of the most loyal supporters that our club have but I fear the worst for them when they face the courts in May as I think they will be made examples of and banning orders will be handed out.
