    Heckingbottom was roasted toneet
    Especially in the first half
why why why does he let wingers look up, take time, and then plant a ball into the middle

If you can't be positive after that performance...

Do you really know what the word "positive" means. Why do you think that it is not positive to point out glaring mistakes, regardless of the result of the match.

Effort was there............and a few things became clearer

    Heckingbottom int up to it
    Neither is Hayes
    But
    Togwell is better than McPhail
Kay and Hassel are forming a good cenral defence pair
    Howard is class
Devaney and McIndoe need proper strikers to aim at

Effort is the best i have ever seen at the TARN
Get a bit more quality and with this effort we will be flying

Good God ... I think the end of the world is nigh ... I agree with Nudger ...

Firstly let me say: Bursting with pride at that showing today.

A moment of madness from Colgan ended our game as an attacking force in the 7th minute. He was stupid and there's no undoing what was done. But what about that 2nd half performance, 10 hero's out there including our hapless Italian (who to be fair looked okay in the 2nd half).

But yes, I have to say it, I agree with Nudger. WHEN will Heckingbottom learn to cut out the opposition crosses. Absolutely everything came down that side in the first half and he did indeed get 'roasted' by Whaley.

We're really going to need to address that, even if it involves a replacement. I know that 'Heckie' is the darling of some on the board but for the love of God we need to address his defensive frailites.

Still, I don't want to appear too negative as it was still a performance to be be proud of.

Am I alone in thinking that every set piece being taken by McIndoe really isn't working?

    Rubbish

How is Hecky "as much to blame" when it was a simple catch?!

Heckingbottom was shocking in the first half. I can't count the times that Kay had to cover for him.

RE: How the **** is Hayes not upto it???

Has to play 80 mins up front on his own... Did is best for fecks sake.

Quite funny to be fair, had a few mates round for match and I said that i would log on after match and we'd look out for a posting from Young Nudger... Asked them to see what they think....... They said you talk ****!!!!

    RE: Rubbish

Because Whaley had half a field to himself to put the cross in.

    RE: Rubbish............look at Hecky

Hecky stands back then at the last moment tries to close Whaley down
Too late kid......the ball has gone into the middle
The goalkeeper stretches for it and they get a lucky goal
Hassel and Kay were constantly cutting out crosses coming in from our left
These two did a fantastic job toneet

tbh the real problem with our defending is not our CB's its the full backs 90% of the time , however tonight was fantastic i am proud of the performance however to improve at this level need new fullbacks (or better coaching for them) and not just for tonight but i dont feel colgan organises and commands his 6 yard box enough.

Not been negative just positive feedback and finally

WELL DONE REDS YOU DID US PROUD TONIGHT

Yep.........man of the match Kay.....or maybe Hassel.......but what about Togwell....but then theres

    Howard
McIndoe and devaney dint do badly either
But I would probably give it to Andy Richie
This guy has got the team PLAYING
Bit more quality in a few positions
And a few cover players and we will me up there in the play offs
But we need those 2 or 3 or 4 more players

    Don't bother asking..

He did miss a very good chance tonight, and missed it very badly, but to say he's not up to it is nonsense.

    No

You said he was "as much to blame" when clearly he wasn't as it was a simple cross for the goalie to deal with, he could have easily caught it but chose to punch instead.

    Disagree, re: Hayes ...

    But I wouldn't disagree that:

    a) Kay probably man of the match
    b) Heckingbottom - most disappointing

    Plenty of teams would love

to have a player of Hayes quality,he's not a targetman but thought he did a good job tonight.
