Just give the job to Heckingbottom, found this yesterday... www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_XVb2qENww He's obviously passionate about the club and they way he came across otherday in post match interview spoke volumes IMO.
That was brilliant not seen that before either. The passion is there to see, good luck Hecky I hope you get the opportunity to create more happy memories for us
It is a good video, yep, until the final 'make more memories' image. My particular memories from that season were a 4-0 home defeat on the opening day, watching us ship 10 in 4 days at the end of August, another 5-1 home defeat in September, a 5-0 capitulation at Huddersfield in March, and eventually being limply relegated. I guess actions are a bit more important than words.
I'm sold now. Give it to him. I couldn't care less about all this experience ********, what is underestimated is passion and the desire to work and push yourself to succeed at the club you love. Not to mention the loyalty that he would obviously show us. Hope you get it Paul.
no you can't give to Heckingbottom, I mean the idea of making an ex Wednesday player a coach and then the manager would never work. I mean it doesn't bear thinking about ! ...... ahem
But he's long since been forgiven. Remember a night match at Bournemouth in about 2005 (when they only had three sides to their ground). Hecky took a throw in right in front of us and a bunch of the London Tykes sang ( to the tune of "Son of Your Father"): Oooohh Heckingbottom He used to be a DeeDar but he's all right now Hecky turned round nd gave them a big grin before throwing the ball in. Made me laugh out loud too......
But we still can't give it to him. Last time we did the same thing was with a chap whose name escapes me errrrr Donald Williams ? I think and I can't remember how that ended....
ben's approach is the right one for me. no rush, no pressure, see how it goes. if we lose the next 3, i guarantee people will be saying he's not good enough and demanding a new manager.
