Hecky the kind of guy who tells Johnny Buchan that there's nothing imminent transfer wise while Cam McGeehan and Liam Lindsay are bunged in a back room with their new Barnsley shirts practising their signatures. I always take Hecky's words with a pinch of salt RE transfers, and i'll do the same here. He knows the score, and even admits that he wouldn't divulge anything. Be a bit disrespectful to speak ill of our soon to be ex owner who's fighting his own battles at the minute, and who knows what the deal will entail. Has there been any update since Heckys statement since the loss last Saturday.? He inferred he's being told what they think he needs to know, but other than that, he's very much concentrating on team matters. We obviously don't know the source of the information, but one of the posters on "footy mad " was saying some time ago that according to what he had heard, as far as Patrick Cryne is concerned, everything is pretty much agreed. He understood that the outstanding part lies with the Council who he claims are insisting on a 100 year lease on the ground and training pitches , should something go wrong in the future. Obviously we don't know if that is correct and how such information has been made available. It strikes me that things must be progressing and that the powers that be , are comfortable with the situation so as to permit Hecky to make any statement to the media in the first place otherwise such action would surely be frowned upon.! Didn't someone say it would all be concluded in around three weeks just the other day.? Ive no idea but Heckys comments tell us exactly nothing - other than that there is some truth in the fact that discussions are taking place - it does not say how close they are to being completed - if he even knows
Why wouldn't he, not exactly a major organisation down at Oakwell and to be fair he has more or less ran the club for 6 months before the arrival of GG , I would have thought he is very much in the loop.

I don't envy Hecky one bit trying to do a job with all this speculation and uncertainty in the back-ground.
