Who would have thought I'd be coming back to discuss the FA Cup semi finals with your good selves!! I would imagine it's still sinking in with you lot - I know it hasn't sunk in with me yet. An FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley. Unbelievable! Great to see us "small" clubs stick it up the big four! In all honesty, I hope we get you in this draw today. Like it or not you are the weakest team in the draw despite some excellent performances and results. Also Steele can't play. I assume you'd bring in a replacement on loan? Whoever we get, and whoever you get, it's going to be tough for all four clubs. There are no easy games at this stage, and it will be very exciting to see who makes the Final in May. Roll on 1.25PM. I'm a bag of nerves at the moment!! Boing Boing, We're goin' to Wembley!
First fan in the queue for tickets plays in goal if we draw each other.
We're the lowest placed team left in, that'll suit me fine........
Seriously hoping we avoid you lot because Luke Steele deserves to play at Wembley after his performances in cup & league.

Excuse me! Which of the big 4 did your boys "stick it up" to? We want to avoid you for no other reason as for Steele to play. Weakest team - well, you could ask Liverpool and Chelsea that but we'll happily take the underdog tag. Any of the teams have an excellent chance to win it.
Cheers Baggie I think we are just coming round to the idea of being there. We've had the extra 24 hours to absorb it. It really is a shame for Luke Steele. After the performance against Liverpool, and then to be part of the team that beat Chelsea, it must be a real downer for him to realise he could miss out on Wembley. Still, with any luck we will avoid you, and he will get his chance. And I don't mind us being regarded as the weakest team. It didn't hurt us against Liverpool or Chelsea!!
If we get a Pompey fan on here now we'll ahve a right old FA Cup chinwag. Happy days eh? I'm quite fancying drawing yourselves tbh, we've done well against you this season - I think you'll agree. At the end of the day it's the FA Cup semi and it'll be a tough day against whoever. Nerves will play a big part and it'll be either uncontrollable joy or heartache depending on the result. Wouldn't swap it for the world though. Just think, if you draw Barnsley they may have to put Tony Warner in goals. The very thought of that would send shivers down my spine if I were a Barnsley fan!
he does have a point nt on paper, we're the least fancied team. but, as said, we've turned over Liverpool and Chelsea, so we shouldn't be taken likely at all, hoping to play Pompey myself..
Warner..... ...is cup tied, he played for Fulham in round 3 - that was the whole reason why we drafted Steele in for the Liverpool game. I never saw him play, but from what you said it was definitely a blessing. Still, some Baggies fans came on here and said Steele was useless before round 5!
Underdog suits me, and I'm sure the players work harder to overcome that! Chelsea and Liverpool probably expected any easy ride, but we have shown that no matter how skill / talent a team posses it means nothing when the opponents play as a team. For me, hope we avoid WBA. Not because of the threat, or higher league position but because Luke Steele deserves to play at Wembley.
Lol, yes mate, you could say though we're due a win over you lot! Seriously though I'm hoping we avoid Cardiff. Not for footballing reasons but off the pitch. No doubt the minority will spoil it and travel to Wembley to cause trouble.
RE: Warner..... ...wasn't aware of that. It's a blessing for you I can tell you. Warner can be excellent but is always liable to make at least one absolute howler each game. Unbelievably consistant at it.
RE: Excuse me! What I meant was the big four are all moaning about the FA Cup and all the "little" teams left in the competition. I mean no disrespect to Barnsley FC and I have a lot of respect for what you've achieved.
Trouble v Cardiff.... would not be a problem. Given the track record of BFC battering them everytime the Police will have it well sewn up.
Unfortunately, yes - and it will be a nightmare for the Met. Believe it or not, we don't get much trouble these days. Only trouble I've seen at NP over the last 5 or 6 years has been caused by Wolves, West Brom & Birmingham fans and they were only minor incidents, mainly amongst themselves. Must say that a few Barnsley lads came down a few years ago looking for trouble in the City centre ...and found it. Unlucky, but if you look for it, you'll generally find it. Not my bag at all though. Don't get me wrong, Cardiff are no angels but they certainly don't look for trouble these days, the difference in years gone by is very noticable. But in a crowd of 35000 or so, you're going to get a few "beauties" though. Thing is, it'll be a big weekend in the smoke and too much alcohol will inevitably be a recipe for disaster for some - from both sides. Thankfully, not all of us, I'd rather have a pint and laugh with opposition fans as opposed to tearing lumps out of each other, much the same as yourself I suspect.
midlands fans I've always found West Brom to be amongst the nicest fans you can come across - friendly, knowlegable about the game and always good humoured (we had them for their last away game a couple of times and they always turned up in beach gear, class!). Birmingham on the other hand absolute animals the lot of them. Only been to St Andrews once, one of the scariest grounds ever. Walking through Digbeth after the match and hearing pub windows smashing and police dogs barking still makes me shake. Head down, walk quickly, make no eye contact with anyone.
pompey fan! lol.. all too busy thinking they've already won the cup ! there is still plenty of shocks left this year yet !!
