No, we didnt pass the ball well, No, we didnt keep possession well. Clearances from defence were hoofed, even when we had time. Some of the quality of passing was embarrassing. It was a good win and something to build on, but a bit of perspective please.
Hoofs from defence? you mean those 40 yrd hoofs from Lewin into Devaney and Peter? those hoofs that Istvan didnt win in the air? whats the benchmark for keeping the ball, Arsenal or Argentina? we were at different games obviously. like the sentiment though, lets not get carried away just yet. 12 battles ahead.
Specsavers? think you need a vist....... we kept possession better than we have all season........... yes the odd pass went astray but as for keeping possession for long periods thought we did ok! Keeper didn't have much to do..... strikers, never stopped running, battled hard in the air and finished well. Midfield, held the ball, tackled well and created chances...... defence, held their own against hull's 6ft plus attackers..... you knock them for hoofing the ball out. To be honest there ain't nothing wrong with a hoofed clearance..... doesn't the saying go "if in doubt, hoof it out"! that served us well last night and lack of that tact has stung us in the past i.e. not making sure and taking risks at the back! if the defence was so bad, how come we did not concede a goal and why did hull create so little chances?
RE: Specsavers? think you need a vist....... I agree. And I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Nice to come away buzzing and smile on the faces of myself and my kids. Well done Reds.
