Long time lurker, posted ***** before a long time ago. Always said i wouldn't post on here because it riles me up, but i'll give it a shot. Right, the game.. The players weren't all that bad to be quite honest. Lee Johnson wants them to play in a certain way and they are trying to play that way, but i don't think the players we have are suitable to play it. I believe that we would be more comfortable playing a 442, which means dropping one of Pearson/Scowen/Hourihane - Big decision. Crewe have been the worst side to come here this season... didn't look good whatsoever. Like Doncaster last week, fair play for taking the chances they had. Townsend.. Well, he's not very good is he? Beaten in same place as he was last week. Not much he could have done about the first. If i was Lee Johnson then it would be time to bring Davies back. Wabara, Mawson, Nyatanga and Smith steady enough. If i was to be picky then Smith needs to work on trying to keep the game flowing instead of watching balls go out for throws and standing still waiting for support, get down bomb alley and draw players in. Pearson has been the best player for me this season (In the games ive seen him in) Scowen is some player too, got a proper engine on him, never stops working. Hourihane is where the money is for me, the guy is absolutely vital to the club no matter what anyone says. Harris is a really good winger, wouldn't mind seeing him here permanently, got a lot of tricks in is locker. Watkins had a terrible game for me today, but like Pearson he's up there with being one of the best players. Feel for Sam, he could be a 20+ goal striker with a partner at side of him. The guy is full of passion and you can tell he loves playing the game. As for LJ, gotta give him time. I'm behind him 110%, should have acknowledged the fans at the end of the game today. Quite bizarre only using 1 sub too.
Agree with most but for me Hourihane is not good enough to get in the team. Young Smith is going to be a really good player, still learning but he does not get beaten oft. Winnall will be burnt out shortly. He has no role, he does not know where to turn . Used right he will get goals Jury out on Watkins, he was not really effective today and he was non existent at Doncaster
